Will my grandson be entitled to any benefits when he turns 16?

My grandson who lives with me will be 16 in August he gets dla he won't be going on to further education as the education he's had in the last 4 years has been a non existent he doesn't leave the house will he be entitled to any benefits

He may get ESA. Unless you're in an UC area. But any benefits you get for him, will stop.0

I I am not a benefits adviser but you grandson may be able yo claim ESA or PIP if he fits the descriptors for PIP. To find out if he does, take a self test on the benefits and work site.http://www.mybenefitsandwork.co.uk/pip/inde.

@jane61 as he is on DLA at the moment when he becomes 16 he will be invited to claim PIP.
Take a look at this information regarding the changes when he is 16.This guide looks at the benefits it may be possible for a young disabled person to claim once they turn 16 years of age.
