hi all. among other problems i have been diagnosed with acetabular sclerosis and lumbar spondylosis. some days it doesn't affect me much. my hips and knees ache if i do too much walking but another day i might struggle to walk from the lounge to the kitchen to put the kettle on which is probably only a distance of 12 foot. will wearing a back support when i walk help makr things easier. i also have arthritis in my neck which causes all sorts of problems will wearing a collar help, or does wearing supports make things worse.

Hi @deb74
Were the back support and neck collar prescribed for you by a medical professional? If so are you able to speak to them to clarify what activities they are meant to be worn for?
When people will benefit from wearing supports if specific to them as individuals so face to face assessment and advice will always be necessary. Unfortunately, this isn't a question that you are going to be able to resolve on-line.
Best Wishes
Jean
