learning spoken English?

Hello, I am hearing impairment person. Also hearing aid user. Without this aid I am completely deaf. Thanks to my mum I am able to speak pretty normal. As I am Polish my spoken Polish is very good, but here we go, I live in England now (been here 12 years already). English language is full of surprises - every person has different accent, which very often is impossible to lipread neither to pair off with the sound. Every person I meet I need to learn by heart. Literally. I really would like to improve my spoken English and get any speech therapist who could teach me how to say some difficult words (hygiene, jewellery, ambitious, etc). Is there any possibility to get that type of lessons or so?

    If you search learning english for deaf people and your area, you may find some local courses that could help.

    I also found this about duolingo which is an online course for people to learn a new language that may work for you?

    Really appreciate for your answer. Few year ago I have asked local Deaf Centre about speech therapy and I think Iw ill ask again. Maybe something changed?
    And already testing that Duolingo! Look really helfpul so far and gonna find out how to speak with the 'machine' :D

    Hello Aneta, The main thing about lip reading is the difference in the vowel sounds of a particular accent.  There are some free apps which focus on vowel sounds and show pictures of people saying the vowel sounds using an English accent.  Have a look at the App Store and if you can't find one, let me know and I'll look too.  Thanks, Nicola

    @NicolaLatheySLT thank You for the post. I am not sure of what exactly I need to look for in App Store, what phrases & words to use?

    Btw. @Sam_Scope Duolingo didn't work for me, I neer real person, real lips and watch how are they moving, etc :) but this website is great for learning other languages (very similar to Memrise in App Store which i have used to learn English many years ago).

    Try accent reduction or oral motor vowel apps.
