Slight hearing loss in left ear

I am male 63 Years in Plymouth Devon. As a child, I had glue ear, eardrum burst. I am a musician my hearing bothers me. Can my GP Help? Neville

    Depends what help you need. Mine is mild too and I've been told hearing aids won't help.

    Hi @Jazzguitar Yes, ask your GP to refer you to your local audiology or ENT clinic. They’ll check your ears for any obvious causes (such as wax), do some hearing tests for you and if needed arrange further tests (such as an MRI scan of the inner ears). They can also discuss options with you for managing any hearing difficulties you have and refer you to other places that can help such as local lip-reading classes, hearing therapy, support groups etc. Good luck Vicki

    You're best off going to an ENT. A general practitioner would recommend you to a specialist anyways.
