Porn passes

Hello my name is Shola and I have read on the internet a few months ago about the government having plans to introduce porn passes to be sold in shops to over 18s later on this year to stop those underage from accessing pornography online. I wanted to ask whether if the government is still going to go ahead with the plan and be introducing the porn passes later this year as I really need to know because I have signed up to some adult websites recently and I want to find out whether if this will affect the adult websites and the viewers and the users?

    Hi Shola, I don't think this has come into effect yet.  I will do a bit of digging and try to find out.  In fact, I know a couple of people who do research into porn and access etc so they might have better info - I will drop them an email. :)

    Ok and I also wanted to ask about why my posts on Facebook have not been approved yet for the whole QAC spark group to see because I came up with an idea of wanting to do my own friendship and dating agency for Birmingham for people with learning disabilities and who are LGBT who are over 18 like Stars In The Sky and Meet 'N' Match sorry I am just wondering?

    Going back to your original post, this "anonymous I.D. card" proposal was shelved indefinitely. No new law was even drafted.
    Given that;
    1. it would require each adult web site to be reprogrammed to adopt this system.
    2. most sites are outside of UK jurisdiction,
    3. the government is fully consumed by Brexit.
    You can safely forget all about this.
