I shattered my hip and recoeved a head injury in a road traffic accident when I was 17, I now have a metal hip and a BA degree in Theology.  Despite this I struggle to find and retain employment . I am currently working as a cleaner.  I am finding the physical work a struggle, so I can imagine how this will end as I am employed by an agency. Can anyone suggest a disability sympathetic employer for when the enevitable happens and I am laid off.

    Hi @Tucks,

We have a section on our website all about disability-friendly employers which may be of interest to you.

I hope this helps, but do get in touch if you have any further questions! :)

    Hi @Tucks
Thanks for getting in touch. @LiamO_Dell has given you some great info on that Scope link - thanks Liam.

The government scheme to register so-called disability friendly employers is called 'Disability Confident'. There is info here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/disability-confident-employers-that-have-signed-up

I feel that you could be a good candidate for our Support to Work programme @Tucks , perhaps give us a call on 0300 222 5742 to see if we can help find something more suitable for you. I hope you get this sorted soon.
