New PIP rules for mental health?

I was wondering when are they looking through people claim for people with mental health disability on pip and when is the back dated do I thought it was do in the summer I'm talking about the new pip rules for mental health thanks

    I should be intitled to mobility under new mental health rules I get the other but not the mobility side of the thing's which I should now be intitled to it look at some website they said backdated should be in the summer 2018 wonder if it changed thanks

    I saw the other day, they are now saying late summer.

    DWP will be looking through all the claims but this will take a long time and it won't be done over night. The changes to the following and planning a journey  descriptor won't affect every. It depends how your conditions affect you.  If you're owed any backdated money then DWP will contact you, there's no need to contact them.

    As Poppy says, it's going to take a while unfortunately. The frequently asked questions about the review exercise are here. You'll see that the DWP state they have started making payments, but I haven't heard from anyone who has got theirs yet.

    Don’t know but have found this, so if you have had an appeal since the judgement your case won’t even get looked at.

    What do they mean by ‘claimants that have been on the top rate of pip will not be reviewed as part of this exercise’ 
    Do they mean those on high rate for daily care won’t be reviewed to see if the changes mobility rate rules apply?

    Those that are claiming Enhanced for both parts. If they are claiming this then there's no point reviewing their claim because they already receive the highest rate.

    Correct - if you can't access a higher award level then there is no point in wasting time  reviewing the claim.

    Ah I see I thought it meant those that are on the higher rate just for care wouldn’t be assessed for the higher rate of mobility (which sounded a little odd but the benefit system never ceases to amaze me). 
    I presumed that because I didn’t think they’d take the time to point out the obvious, that those on higher rate mobility wouldn’t need reviewing to see if the could get higher rare.

    It's not the daily living part that changed, it's the mobility part.....following an planning a journey.

    So if I claimed from dec 2015 and scored 0 on the following and planning a journey with mental health does that mean my claim should be looked at and be sue some back pay?

    No, i'm afraid not. They are looking at all claims that were decided on or after 28th November 2016.

    For those they are reviewing and for future reviews the overwhelming psychological distress must be extreme. They've made it harder to score points in following and planning a journey for those with mental health, not easier.

    @angrymom2019 No sorry you will not be considered as part of the review as your claim was started in 2015 and as you can see where highlighted it stated from those date when the regulations was changed wrongly by the judgement.
