@Teresa454 I think you would need to speak to your GP or a medical professional to answer this as everyone is so different. If you have nerve damage you may need to avoid certain things and your doctor would be best placed to advise you on this.
There are lots of ideas for free exercise on the NHS website, but perhaps it would be worth checking what you can and cant do.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.0 -
Hi @Teresa454
They do say that if exercise was a drug that everyone should take it! It is not only great for physical health but brilliant for mental health too.
But as Sam_Scope says it's a good idea to check out with your GP what will be OK for you first.
If you have a really progressive GP/GP practice they might even be into 'social prescribing' - it would be interesting to ask your GP what they can offer you on this front as it can include things like swimming lessons or gym sessions. If your GP hasn't heard of it then they really need to get with the program!
Good luck with finding something that works for you.
Best wishes.

It's interesting you say that @EmmaB as we have a post going up later this week about Social Prescribing!

Hi @Sam_Scope - I'll look out for that, it's definitely the way to go, especially seeing as mediation clearly isn't working for a lot of people...1
