Was your child screened more than once for dyslexia?

My daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia last year (year 3 at school) her teacher said at that time they would of screened all the children, since then she had visits from the local educational Psychologist who set up for her to go on to the toe by toe program (rope learning exercise) starting the term after Christmas, at her parents evening the other night her current teacher wants to put her through another screening/test but I don’t understand why?
Is there any benefit for DD to have another test?
Also as well DD teacher didn’t know that she has already been referred onto the toe by toe program. I am in the process of writing an email to the SENco about the missed Communication, but I just wanted to see if anyone else have had their child has been screened more then once.
many thanks

    Hi @sbmummy
It is good you are speaking to teachers and SENCO, it does sound like there has been some problem in communication between teams?

Independent Parental Special Education Advice (IPSEA) is an independent charity for parents of children with special needs. It might be worth taking a look at their website?
