Hi. If you have been awarded PIP when do DWP take the claim from as regards to payment?

  If you're transferring from DLA, PIP will start 4 weeks after your DLA ends and there's no backdated money, even if your award is higher than the DLA was.

  
  

  If you weren't previously claiming DLA then it's the date you rang to start your claim off.
