Pip appeal. If awarded pip on appeal is it backdated to start of claim

If pip appeal is won. Is pip backdated to start of claim. It will be nearly 19months from when I put in a claim for it with nothing but a mess around from them

  If you transferred from DLA then it's paid from the date your DLA stopped. If you didn't transfer from DLA and it was your first claim then it's paid from the date you applied.
