Hi I’m a visually impaired/blind person with limited sight. I use a long cane to navigate round when I’m out and about.  I also use a screen reader to navigate online. I was wondering what is this group about?

    Hi @Half_Pint1999 welcome to the community! Scope is a UK based charity in which our aim is to achieve equality in everyday life for disabled people. Also, providing families with a disabled child the vital support throughout different stages.

    Our online community is a place accessible to all, it is a supportive space to ask questions, meet others with similar impairments/conditions as yourself. Plus, there is lots of advice to be offered.

    As @Ami2301 mentioned, our online community strives to be a friendly place for disabled people, parents and carers to talk to others with similar experiences and to give and share advice and information.

    Another way, if we are on a website which targets disabled then one can seem to think that you have made an inspirative suggestion for the management that they will be happy to read from you. The website could talk to you about itself and read posts so you could get broken down the access for the disabled people.
