Residential placement advice

hi. I’m new to the community. My daughter has cerebral palsy and I have been trying to find a residential setting for her for when she leaves National Star College in July. It’s a minefield! I am so disheartened at the lack of provision for young adults. The last thing my daughter wants is to sit in a semi circle watching tv with people 3 times her age! Any help or advice would be dearly appreciated

Welcome to the community @judyclaire how are you doing today?
Have you been in touch with your local council to see if they can suggest a place for your daughter?
Some of our members may have some advice for you soon.

Hi @judyclaire
Thanks for your post and it's good to meet you. How old is your daughter? Does your daughter wish to continue with her education? If she does, I can suggest Hereward College
Has the National Star college had a conversation with your daughter and you about options after leaving in July? Apologies for all of the questions. I want to try to find the best way of supporting you both.
