We stopped at big blue which was well set up for that. Off to butlins tomorrow however seems to have nothing for disabled guests so hoping it doesn’t cause a problem.0

We went to a campsite last month for five days. I needed the break from routine badly.
In September I am off on my familymoon after my wedding day. We booked a cruise in the Caribbean Islands.1 -
Hi @pollyanna1052 I try to find an accessible base and go exploring the area. Tend to use a Premier Inn or Holiday Inn Express, both of which I find to be excellent chains. Just had a great week in the Premier Inn at Hartlepool in the North East.
One thing that bugs me is that most places in this country tend to shut up shop before about 5.30pm....after that it's dinner and/or the pub. As I'm a slow starter in the mornings I'm not too keen to get up and go early and I'm ready for bed again by about 10-ish.
Whereabouts in Blackpool are you heading?

A cruise for your honeymoon! How fabulous! I love cruising. But Southampton is a long way from Yorkshire....worth it when you get on board. Hope the wedding is wonderful. Best wishes xxApril2018mom said:We went to a campsite last month for five days. I needed the break from routine badly.

Sorry for double clicking. I`m still getting used to the site! We stay at The New Mayfair hotel in South Shore Blackpool. It`s excellent.exdvr said:Hi @pollyanna1052 I try to find an accessible base and go exploring the area. Tend to use a Premier Inn or Holiday Inn Express, both of which I find to be excellent chains. Thank you. It will be a low key affair with no alcoholic drinks. Instead I will serve lemonade, water and soda with the food. We are planning on having a picnic tea before the dancing commences.pollyanna1052 said:April2018mom said:We went to a campsite last month for five days. I needed the break from routine badly.

@pollyanna1052 I'm so glad I found your post. I'm still getting used to using the site. So sorry for the late reply. This is a very good topic that you suggested. I like beach holidays but at the moment can only afford small city breaks away. I can always browse and see what's out there for future ideas.0

We are planning a short adults only trip to Brighton on Friday. We have booked a hotel room for a weekend. My neighbour will watch the twins.
We will also visit Brighton Pier and have a picnic on the beach as well. We may also visit the shops and arcades. Can anyone recommend some places to eat? Preferably on the waterfront as we want to see what Brighton looks like at nighttime. Suggestions welcome.0 -
Thanks for your replies. Dunno if it`s ok to put this here, but I help run an on line group for holidays for people with disabilities. It`s found via facebook and is called `Limited Mobility and Wheelchair Friendly Holiday Accommodation.` If I shouldn`t mention it on this group, please remove it. Thanks xx1

I'm from the south coast originally so I always go back to the beach, went to Norfolk in June, but mainly Portsmouth, Bournemouth and the Isle of wight.
