Hi

My name is Mohammed, and I am the chairman for the Alta Sports Club for the disabled which is a swimming club based at Birmingham University in Birmingham.

The charity has been running for in excess of 40 years and during this time a wide spectrum of individuals with various disabilities have joined the club and enjoyed swimming with us.

This year we were awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Services.

I am reaching out to you today to see if any of your members / users who enjoy swimming would like to join our club/charity.

The facilities we offer is as follows

Easy access to the pool
Private free secure parking
New 50 million plus sports centre with the state of the art 50 metre pool - the club swimming in the shallow end (25 meters)
One on one swimming coaching if required
Hoist to allow individuals who require this to get in and out of the pool safely.
Swimming club meets each Sunday between 1-2pm

The cost is £20 per year this gives you 52 swimming sessions each year and this will include a annual charity Christmas dinner.

If you would like to give us a try then please let me know as you can have a free swimming session to see what we do.

Kind regards

Mohammed

    Hi Adrian,

We don't have a website as yet but is something we are currently working on.   I am at present reaching out to other charities to see if it any of its members who enjoy swimming or thought about swimming as a way of exercise, wanted to join the club.

Do you know of any charities down in East Sussex that may do something similar? :)

Hi Linda ,  sorry I don't - maybe get in touch with your local swimming baths and see if they do a disabled session.

Do you know of any in Surrey that allow disabled children or not? I was thinking of taking both kids to a pool this week.
