I’m new here, just introducing myself. I have an issue with a PIP claim so I am going to make a thread about that.
Thanks for this website - I have already found it helpful.

Hi, I'm new here. I can't wait to get chatting and taking or giving advice. I'm 71 years young, divorced with a great son 34 who has Aspergers. He's a volunteer at Scope in Cardiff and also St Vincents.

Thanks everyone, this seems like a really nice place

frandee - I also have Asperger’s myself. Great to hear that your son is able to do volunteer work! I am hoping to get into some volunteer work myself once I feel a bit better.0 -

I’m really not sure at the moment what sort of work. I think of a lot of things but whatever I think of there is a barrier to it. We are working on those though.

Putting aside my issues ideally I would volunteer to drive people to and from hospital as I love driving. Also I’m good with numbers and finance so could do some kind of “amateur” accounting.
If I did something right now though it would have to be from home.2 -
Hi @66Mustang. There's a few volunteering from home roles out there. If it helps, we have a list of Scope's current volunteering opportunities here.1

Thank you for the post, Adrian_Scope! I had a look and the research panellist looks quite doable for me so I may sign up to that one.3
