Hello people, my mums pip ends 2021 , I understand they will be contacting her early january 2020. A couple questions to ask please , I understand that more people with mental health are qualifying for pip, will  my mum definitely get a f2f again for mental health ? And will her review definantly be in January has stated on her report letter? Thankyou.

    Hello and welcome, your mum's review will most likely take place in the last 6 months of 2020 as most reviews are being done in this time frame, so start collecting information and evidence to support your review.

    @wilko Thankyou so much for your prompt reply , oh that's new to us didnt know it was like 6months before it ends , Yes her CPN has done her a letter . How likely is it that she will need to have another f2f based on mental health ?

    Hi @dee4848. Most people do need to have a f2f for reviews so it's likely your mum will as well.

    Does the medical evidence need to be new  evidence and not previous evidence? Thankyou.

    Your mum will most likely have a F2F assessment unless the evidence supplied is so overwhelming to do a paper based assessment.. All recent and new medical evidence is required plus you can could submit a summary of your mums medical history that was in the original PIP application thus showing continued health problems and the new information, evidence should help with the review.

    @wilko Thankyou very much . Nothing has changed better or worse , just one of her many tablets have increased in dose

    So just to be sure , it ends january 2021, so it's more likely to be around june 2020 to be reviewed ?

    Hi @dee4848. That's correct, they're being reviewed around 6 months in advance now. :)

    @wilko hello, mums just got a supporting letter from her Advanced Nurse practitioner. He has wrote that he thinksshe would struggle with a face2face assessment,and that it would cause a great deal of distress to her. My question is would dwp take this seriously or would they just think well she has to have one,? Thankyou .

    Most people have to attend face to face assessments, it's rare to have a paper based one. If there's enough of information then it's possible a paper based assessment could be done.

    It's impossible to predict anything at this stage but my advice is to expect a face to face.

    It's within the 2 years they advise so all you can do is send it.

    That's very recently. All you can do is send it but most people have face to face assessments so she should expect one.
