Self-employed. How does he apply for Universal Credit?

I have a son who is self-employed as a piano-tuner. He has Aspergers syndrome and finds life difficult. His clients are almost all local schools which are now closed, he will therefore run out of money very quickly. How does he apply for Universal Credit?
