                    Hi there
Not been on for a while
My wife and myself used to get adult dependency as part of carers allowence this has stopped today.i have been on hold for 6hrs trying to inform dwp.
We are £37.53 worse off per week
Will dwp make this up with extra income support .I did ring them in may when first recieved letter and was told to ring back in April.
Due to high call demand I have not been able to speak to the dwp
Any thoughts anyone....thanks

Your Income Support should be approximately £136.85 per week. Then the carers allowance of £67.25 per week. These are the new rates from 8th April 2020.0

            Thanks for the reply
The paperwork from the dwp states this
How your income support was worked out
For you and your partner £114.85
Because your partner is sick or disabled £48.95
Because you are caring for someone £36.85
Because of the disability income guarantee £24.10
 Total amount £224.75
 Income you told us about
 £104.78 carers allowence
How your benefit is worked out
The amount the law says you need to live on£224.75
Less the income you told us about £104.78
Total amount of income support 119.97
As of April 6th my carers allowence has dropped from £104.78 per to £67.25 a drop of £37.53 per week
After 7 hrs on hold to the dwp they agreed that they would look at it as it seemed to be wrong. I have to wait 2/3 weeks to find out and then ring back to discuss options.as a result I am very confused as 37 pounds per week is a big deal for me and my wife0
