Voluntary work

Hi, I get PIP for mental health issues, lower rate personal care and higher rate mobility. I have pondered over whether a small amount of voluntary work might be beneficial to me, say, a couple of hours a week. Does anybody know how this would affect my PIP? I don't want to cause complications for my claim.

Hi and welcome to the community your are able to work and still claim PIP and that can also be paid work as long as the raasons you are claiming PIP isnt contravened by your work. EG you get the mobility but have a job walking around all day.
I would check if any other benefits could be affected if you are claiming them2 -
Hi @MummyBtothree,
Here is some information about volunteering. There are loads of links on NCVO which shows ways you can get involved.
I hope this helps.
