carer needed

Hi, I am going to need a new carer in a few weeks, as the current one is going to uni. I will really miss her, as she is lovely.
I have advertised on local social media and asked around, but the hours are few and over 6 days...11 hours in total.
I have had a few replies, but after telling them what`s needed, I don't hear further.
I have had agencies in the past, but finished them due to bitchiness and poor management.
Getting worried.

Hi @pollyanna1052 Sorry to hear this, I really hope you can find someone else that you will get to trust and care for like your current carer, take care?0

@poppy123456 - Sounds like a current member. I was puzzled by a comment on tracheotomy tubes in a discussion on facemasks. Looking back through this person's replies, which I've just done, there is mention of 'open spina bifida,' clubbed feet, 'asymptommatic' Chiari 11, etc., which seem familiar. Also, now I see it, the username & likely D.O B., plus certain phrases used.

Hi i hope you manage to find something, have you spoken to your GP or social services maybe they can recommend people.
Maybe you can do a search on the internet I know you can find lists of local childminders s maybe there is something similar for carers
Hope you gety it sorted0 -
Hi @pollyanna1052. I really hope you manage to find someone suitable soon. Do you have access to many local groups on social media? It may be worth asking for recommendations on there.
Sorry to hear your current carer is having to leave.0 -
Hi Adrian and Janer, yes I have ads out in local fb groups, Social Services can offer a brokerage service, which means they give my needs info to 20 agencies and anyone who can fill the days will be sent. Any amount of people could turn up on different days and it would mean too many different carers coming in.
They also sent me a list of carers registered with them......none could help.
Fingers crossed something will turn up. I am going to ask at the hospice meeting (virtual) tomorrow.
Thanks for your support.

Hi, not been on for a while.
Got a new carer from an agency she used to work for, so I know her. She`s working out well.
Thanks everyone x
