hi looking for some advice
My grandson has cerebral palsy and is in mainstream school
There has been a positive covid test in the year below
Do i keep him home and shield him

HI and welcome,Shielding has ended for everyone that was most at risk. The school should have completed a risk assessment and contacted your grandsons parents. Once this was completed they will have determined if there was any risk to your grandson.The same thing happened to my daughter in her school just after she returned in September, actually it was in the first couple of days. I was contacted by letter to fully explain the situation and after completion of the risk assessment it was decided that there was no risk at all to my daughter and she was able to return to school as normal.If his parents have any concerns they school contact his school head teacher.1

Good to meet you. Year groups are split into 'bubbles' and as long as the child isn't in your grandson's bubble then he should be okay to be in school.
The school should have undertaken a full risk assessment and written to parents advising of the current situation and the next steps.
