hi there
has anybody got any advice about social groups for young adults with autism and learning difficulties - naturally at the moment it would need to be virtual (eg, Zoom).

Hello @AngelaP and welcome to the community :)

I'm not sure personally of any social groups that match the criteria you mention there, hopefully others will be able to offer their knowledge in this subject.

The only option I can suggest is that you check this autism services directory, which may contain details of any social groups you could get involved with.

And of course, we'd love it if you continued to be a part of this community :)

Hi @AngelaP - & welcome to the community. You might try the Outsiders club as there is an online element to this. Whether they are currently trying Zoom, etc. I don't know, but I have heard good things about them. Some use it for dating possibilities; others for friendship & support. Please see: https://www.outsiders.org.uk/outsidersclub/

@AngelaP Hello and welcome to the community/family.

Not knowing of course where in the county you live and the kind of provision made there it is difficult to give solid advice.

May I suggest you look around for properly run Community Centres.  One near to me caters for all kinds of groups and they do have an Autism group I think which used to meet regularly.  Your best first contact might be your Council helpline.

Sorry I can't be of more help but please be careful when it comes to unregulated clubs etc.

Hey @AngelaP! How are you doing? Have you had a chance to take a look at any of the suggestions above?
