Change of circumstances & timelines

Hey, I let the DWP know that my health has been much worse lately & they sent me out a new form - which I have sent back. Does this get processed at the same speed as new forms (waiting for weeks) or will it be faster? Has anyone had experience of getting their claim changed after a condition/s have got worse?
Thanks! N

Hi and welcome on board from other peoples experience it is the same process as applying or having a review . Will most likely result in an assessment though these are over phone at present
Waiting time will depend on back logs in your area
Lots of people report a change and are successful in getting a higher award but also be mindful the whole award is reviewed
Good luck let us know how you get on1 -
Thanks tons. I just didn’t want to be stressed every time the postman comes.Fingers and toes crossed!
I should have appealed my first claim but I was so relieved to get anything & too tired to fight my corner.0 -
That is understandable let's hope the new change is successful0

@ernie2009
thanks that’s really helpful. It was hard to find other people that have asked for a change of circumstances so it’s so reassuring to hear that other people have been through the process.0 -
