What power does a social worker have over my life?

Mine has nominated herself as appointee to manage my personal budget and uses the power it gives her to cut my care to the point where I'm spendind all my state pension and P.I.P. to hire my own help. I have been trapped in an unadapted house with no way of getting out unless I pay for help to get my wheelchair through the door, for the last 10 months!! I f I dare complain she cuts back even more of my care help and has banned me from contacting anyone in Warwickshire Adult Social Care Is any of this legal?

Hi I dont have an answer for you but suggest you need more expert advice
Maybe contact welfare rights or CAB as I think this is something you need expert help with
Hope you get sorted and other members may be able to help0 -
I also don't have an answer for you @PattiDarling, but I agree that you should consider contacting Citizens Advice. I'm doubtful that she could be allowed to prevent you from contacting anyone else from your local social care team. How does she prevent you from doing this?
I have moved your post into the disabled people category, as it might get lost in the coffee lounge.0 -
