Hi my son is enrolled in collage he’s just had a a diagnosis of autism I’m inquiring to see he would get disabled student funding for having autism or does it depend on the individual college

Hello @donnap79. As @poppy123456 has mentioned it depends on the course and the college. Colleges are required by law to support SEND students but it is not uniform. If he is doing degree course at college, he can apply for the Disabled Students' Allowances. There is not any similar funding that I know of for colleges but your local authority is the place to ask. You might also want to look at the National Autistic Society (National Autistic Society - Autism support - leading UK charity) and Disability Rights UK (How we can help | Disability Rights UK).
