I need some help to make changes to my house, to keep me living here. Is there any help available for this?

Hi @brianbeecroft
Here is a page on disability grants for home adaptations. Have you ever heard of the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG)?

From experience with disability campaigning groups, it can be fine in theory, but not quite straightforward in practice, to deal with DFG systems. People report extraordinary delay, unreasonable operation of the system, insistence on rigid notions regardless of actual individualised situations, and other problems. Go for it by all means, as plan A. But do a little research and be prepared if at all possible to have a plan B up your sleeve. You may strike lucky, but maybe an ounce of information avoids a pound of frustration0

Hi,The first step before the DFG application will be a needs assessment. For this start with this link. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/social-care-and-support-guide/help-from-social-services-and-charities/getting-a-needs-assessment/
