I cannot go out to work, but I am thinking once COVID19 is over with, is trying to find a company that employs people to work from home. Does anyone work from home who is on PIP and unable to go out to work

@happyfella you can work if your on pip unless your also on benefits  that are means tested

Most people are working fom home at the moment  could be a long wait for covid 19 to go away

Maybe you  could start haveing a look around before that yo see what is about

You can work while on means tested benefits too but the earnings will reduce the amount of benefit payable.

What I am trying to find out is what type of companies employ people at home, and where you can search for those types of jobs

If you search for work from home or remote working on Indeed there’s plenty. Just check the advert carefully as some go on to mention they prefer you based in a certain area, or can get to their office once a month, etc.

Also, I saw an ad on Indeed the week before last asking for Avon reps, but something like that would ideally need a driver due to having to collect orders and that from customers, if you can only collect in walking distance it's a bit limiting.

Hi @happyfella :) Have we directed you towards our Support to Work service before? They can help you to find and apply for suitable jobs.

Indeed is also a good idea, and there are plenty of other job sites out there. What kind of work are you looking to get into? Many employers have been forced into adapting to employees working from home, so there should hopefully be an increase in roles being advertised with the option of home working.

Hi Happyfella, certain areas of the civil service are now moving much more to home working
, might be worth checking the civil service recruitment site, especially as most of their jobs offer flexible working hours
