Hi, I just want to share my news. I received my brown envelope this morning and have been awarded enhanced daily living and enhanced mobility. I was previously on standard rate for both.

It took 5 weeks in all since I sent my review form. I had requested a paper based assessment and never received any calls at all.

Needless to say I am elated with the news and I'm happy to answer any questions regarding this. Thanks

@kimbychick. Great news, I am so pleased for you. What did you put down on your form that was different to when you filled it out and received standard do you think. It might help me understand why my son can only get standard when I believe he should get enhanced after reading lots of posts. So pleased for you, you can relax now x

    Thank you everyone ?.

@Lulu_1949 the main reason I got my award at standard rate was my mental health conditions- generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder and agoraphobia.  These have got a bit worse since my last award in 2017. I am now on a variety of medications for these and I had a support letter from my consultant psychiatrist.

I am also now under rheumatology for back pain and take new medication for this. My GP done me a support letter too describing how my illnesses are debilitating and have a huge impact on my daily life.

Apart from that I filled in the form exactly the same as in 2017 x

@kimbychick thank you so much, I do find it exhausting ... we had to go to tribunal to get standard after he had had 14 operations on his ankle, a replacement ankle which hasn’t worked and now struggling on his good ankle . X

@Lulu_1949 sorry I only just noticed your reply. What a shame for your son. I don't imagine he can do much himself without care if he has had to go through all that. When is his next review? X

@kimbychick 2022, dare not re-do it before incase they take the standard off him after we fought to tribunal for it. x

I know the feeling. Hopefully you won't have to go through that again. On my decision letter it said that they had expected my condition to improve and I was awarded more points because it hadn't. Maybe when they see that your son's condition hasn't improved either it will be the same for him. Fingers crossed ?x

Thank you @cupcake88 I found out that I will now also be entitled to the enhanced disability premium too. I think I'm still in a bit of shock x
