Yesterday was National Toast Day, a day for carb lovers to unite and celebrate the humble toasted loaf.
Whilst moseying around the internet I found this picture and wanted to get your opinion on what you thought the best tone of toast was
For me, it has to be D4. It strikes the perfect balance between underdone and still fresh yeast versus burnt charcoal.

My favourite is seeded bloomer thick slice toasted to about e3 with lots real butter and peanut butter0

I’d choose f3, more crunch per munch,
lightly buttered with a tangy marmite topping. ?1 -
I quite like just nicely warmed and slightly crunchy bread that isn’t quite toast so I’m going to go for C4.
My topping of choice is marmalade

6D with Vegemite or spread cheese0

Can I get a d2 with Asda's finest lemon curd, please?
Or an orange marmalade but only with thin shreds please...

My stomach is actually rumbling... <gets order notepad out, so that's one D2, a 5C, 6D, C4, F3, E3 and D4> Coming up!
Oh aye, it has to be real butter, you can keep your margarine thanks

E5 for me, I like it proper crunchy! Only ever top with normal butter (Lurpak ideally)...boring, I know lol.
However my toaster is a lottery, it could have made 80% of that picture without touching the setting knob!

The dilemma here is that my setting changes depending on what I'm toasting
With a slice of bread, I normally set the toaster to about a third of the way along, I don't really like any burn on mine.0
