Hi and welcome
Maybe you can start with walking sticks or crutches or a frame and rollater
I dont suffer with this but I am wheelchair bound and it is real challenge at first cant get in or around small shops cooking from seated position , cleaning etc
I would try do anything you can to keep on your feet and using your legs if you get used to not walking it will affect muscle strength and circulation and other issues1 -
Ok that’s great thank you just my shoulder is playing up sometimes to to I am finding it really hard at times0

Hello @mich19
Welcome to the community, glad you've joined us.
Have you discussed this with your GP or specialist to see what they think?0 -
not yet I was hoping to see what others say and I need to try and get a downstairs toilet and that as I am finding it very difficult to get upstairs to use the one I got and they think I have got copd as well now and it feels like my head is going to go pop0

Have you considered a stair lift rather than downstairs toilet would prob be cheaper
I would advise you refer yourself for a care needs assessment . A it will come and look and make recommendations for any adaptions or aids you need and may supply them through social services . You can refer on the gov website
To get a wheelchair from nhs your gp will need to refer you for an assessment with wheelchair services0
