Hi all resident tv correspondent here again 

Has anyone been watching emmerdale this week ? 

I think the way they have wrote the story line is excellent 

Giving little snaps at the start of the hospital revealing bit more each day 

And then moving on to what happened to get them there 

Really keeps you watching 

What are your thoughts

    I love emerdale its a good storyline but its dragging on a bit to long ?

    Love Emmerdale. The character Paul has played an excellent part, so much so, I can barely look at him, because of what he’s done to his lovely son Vinnie.
    At the beginning of the week, with the showing of the clips, I couldn’t work out why Jimmy would have ended up in hospital, but all was revealed tonight. Gripping stuff.

    The crash was completely unexpected. Brilliantly done like all of their dramatic scenes. I grew up watching Emmerdale. I love it and never miss an episode.

    @lisathomas50 I suppose it has to drag on to be realistic this sort of abuse goes on and on so is being portrayed in the right context

    It's been so well written the whole storyline bet they win the awards this year for this one

    Great work keeping us updated 'Resident TV Correspondent' @janer1967!

    I have to be honest - I dip in and out of Emmerdale, so I'm not always up to date on this!

    If I remember rightly though, Emmerdale are quite good at running in-depth and contentious storylines, aren't they? 

    Not to start a soap-war or anything - but even if it's not the most-watched soap, I think it's got some of the best writing??

    p.s. I too remember watching Emmerdale Farm as a young lass!

    I've not been watching it that long had a long break from soaps but they have had some great storylines and writing 

    Abortion of baby with Downs 

    Asexual partners 

    Child custody after mother abandoned baby but now wants him back 

    Just to mention a few hard to believe so much goes on in such a small village but that's soaps for you 

    I just think they write in more imaginative ways

    Yes - definitely some really topical and relevant social interest storylines there @janer1967.

    I like this as well...

    Bit like Midsomer Murders, and the quaint little villages in that series, which strangely all appear to be the (yes I know, fictonal!) murder central of middle England :smiley:
