Hi all I was wondering if anybody out there has gone to the upper tribunal and made an appeal. I have and they have upheld the decision that was made but they said I can apply independently if I can find an error in law. I have found several and wanted to know if I need to write an explain or do I just write a list of the paragraphs and what error of law was not applied.

Hi @Hotgal - & welcome to the community. Yes, we have had some members who have appealed to an Upper Tribunal. Unless you have the relevant knowledge, I would think it advisable to get someone who does to look through the SOR. It's relatively easy to find errors in law, but it also has to be taken into account, would these change a decision?

You first have to ask the tribunal who made the decision for permission to appeal. There's some info here: https://www.gov.uk/administrative-appeals-tribunal/how-to-appeal
