The amount of UC I get might change because of the benefit cap. Does claiming PIP affect this?

I have read on my uc account that in July that the amount of money I get might change due to the benefit cap. But I read if you get pip it won't be affected I get the standard living pip is this also the case even thou I don't get the enhanced rate.

The benefit cap does not affect you if you get PIP.

    Any PIP award counts.

I don't think you need to do anything but you can post a message in response to the one you have received reminding them that you get PIP if you wish to.
The message you received may have been automatically generated in response to something else such as the expiry of a nine month grace period due to prior earnings (which could be the case as I note from previous posts that you reduced your hours in September)..
