I've been placed in the LCWRA group. Do I get extra money?

I have been through the assessment and was sent the letter confirming that I have been put in the LCWRA group. Does this mean I am automatically entitled to the LCWRA element (extra money) or is that something different? I am very confused. I first gave in my sick note at the end of January. Can anyone explain please?

Hi @angel99 welcome to the forum and congrats on getting your award, yes you will be entitled now to the lcwra element, it will be in your uc statements when you will get paid etc when your statements are usually ready.

thank you @sandy_123 . I got my statement for this month (May 23) and it is the same standard amount with no element. I've seen that there is a 4 month waiting period does this mean I will only get it next month or do I need to contact UC about it not coming in this month?

Hi @angel99 and a warm welcome to our online community :)  How are you today?

I hope the responses you've received have helped you better understand what happens now you're in the LCWRA group and if you scroll down to the bottom of this Citizens Advice 'Getting Universal Credit if you're sick or disabled people' webpage it explains a little more.

Just to let you know, I've slightly amended the title of your thread to help others who might be wondering the same question.

If you have any more questions, please let us know.  In the mean-time, take care and have a lovely rest of the weekend.
