    We have a blue disability badge, we parked on yellow line with signage stating "No Unloading" , we thought we were OK to park there, we have been sent  a fine, we thought if displaying the badge we would be ok. Any advice please?

    Is there anything in particular that is making you worried about your OH, other than the situation with the blue badge and fine? Is his GP aware that he isn't well? 

    This is a very supportive and welcoming community, so I'm sure that you'll make friends here and enjoy being on the site.

    I would get in touch and explain the situation maybe write and put details of your blue badge so they can check it out

    I've had a look online, & found this on the government's website:

    'Yellow lines

    Badge holders may park on single or double yellow lines for up to 3 hours, but in general not where there are restrictions on loading or unloading – indicated by yellow kerb dashes and / or signs on plates. You may wish to check whether a particular local council has chosen to exempt Blue Badge holders from this restriction.'

    You can try to challenge the fine claiming you weren't aware but as above, generally you're not allowed to park on loading lines even with a badge.  

    Depending on the persons conditions, and whether it's safe to do so and not impeding traffic, you can stop to let them out before moving the car to a more appropriate parking place.
