    Hi there

Lcwra gets backdated to 3 whole pay periods after you reported the condition and supplied fit notes

    When did you do this

You can apply for pip it isn't dependant on getting lcwra

It is a different benefit with different criteria

Hello @12091978 I enjoyed the sunshine briefly on my lunch break thanks  :)  How about you?

As advised, LCWRA is awarded after a 3 month waiting period starting the date you first submitted medical evidence (normally a fit note).  If it has taken longer than 3 months for the work capability assessment to be carried out, then your UC element would get backdated to that point.

Also, PIP is a separate benefit, unrelated to LCWRA.  For more information, please visit Scope's PIP webpage or feel free to ask us any questions :)

Just to let you know, I've tweaked the title of your thread to help others who may be in a similar situation.  Please keep us posted on how you get on and all the best.

So you are likely to be due the LCWRA element from your March or April payment depending on when in December you reported it and what days of the month your monthly UC payments cover.
