Hi there
Sorry you are feeling lonely it isn't easy when you have no support nearby I know that feeling well
I love crime drama too
Bet your little boy keeps you busy
There is usually members around to chat to or just join in0 -
Hi @lou87 How are you doing today?
I'm sorry to hear you're feeling isolated, I can imagine that's especially hard with a young baby. Are there any local groups you could go to I wonder, or some virtual activities online? Also, would you ever consider volunteering a bit further down the road?
You sound very much like me. I love charity shops, particularly when I drop on an absolute bargain, plus I find crime programmes and podcasts morbidly fascinating. Have you watched any good ones recently? Making a murderer on Netflix is an oldie but a must-see if you can, plus Mare of Easttown on sky has been brilliant to watch.
If you ever want to chat, remember you can drop into our virtual coffee lounge for some light-hearted convo and to get to know our other members better
I hope you have a nice day and you know where we are if you need us. Take care.

Hello @lou87 and welcome to the community, I just wanted to throw in my welcome, I'm glad you've joined us
I don't tend to believe in guilty pleasures, because I don't feel guilty really for anything I enjoy. If I had to pick one, I'd probably say my enjoyment of EDM (Electronic Dance Music) and pop artists like Taylor Swift and Zara Larson. As someone who mainly loves rock music, those genre are quite a departure for me.

How are you getting on today @lou87? I love coffee, murder documentaries, and crime programmes too. I'm always up for a recommendation if you have one0

I was about to say you do realise you're admitting that on a public forum @janer1967 then the penny dropped2

My guilty pleasures are based around chocolate digestives I’m afraid. ?

my guilty pleasure is energy drinks, especially red bull. I don't like monster. Also I find almond fingers, chocolate pretzels, twiglets, and salted caramel wheat cookies and danish butter cookies to be addictive.0

Like Ross I don’t really feel guilty enjoying anything but have a couple of pleasures which are perhaps less socially acceptable
Drinking whisky and brandy and at weekends a beer or two
Driving my car on the country lanes, not going anywhere just driving
No, not both together, that would be too unacceptable, even for me0 -
PS I hope to see you around on the forum, why not post on some other threads?
I sometimes feel lonely too but being on the community here helps a bit

I've watched Happy Valley @janer1967- it's so good! I wish I could wipe my memory of it and re-watch it.
@Ami23010 -
Most of my taste in music makes me feel guilty!

Hi, Sorry to hear you’re feeling isolated. It’s kinda been the year for that hasn’t it. It can be tough being a disabled mum at the best of times. Personally, I found mum and toddler groups a sanity saver. If there is a branch of Home Start in your area, I found them great. I had a referral from our health visitor, and I’m so glad she did. I actually met my current PA there.
My guilty pleasure is entirely chocolate related. I have a few allergies which developed in my 20s, so had to go without for a few years, until I discovered Lintt 70%. I now have some every day after lunch with a bucket sized cup of tea. I think I have a bit of a problem with chocolate tbh ? oh well, life is for enjoying.0
