PIP phone assessment on behalf of my son, what will I need?

Hey everyone,
After waiting since January, we have finally received a letter stating that there will be a PIP phone assessment on Monday morning, my usual anxiety hit the roof, so I'm basically wanting to be prepared as possible.
So questions I'm wondering are, will they want to speak to my son, or just me?
Will I need copies of evidence I previously sent them.
Should I record the phone call or not?
I've been diagnosed with AvPD myself, so this phonecall is already haunting me, hopefully knowing a bit more about what I'm up against will help.
Any info welcome.

Hi and welcome
If you are your sons appointee approved by dwp then you can speak on his behalf if not he will have to speak and answer questions
You can only record if you have asked for permission to do so
Have a copy of the form with you
Prepare to give 2 real examples of what happens when he last tried to do task
Tbh you haven't waited that long for assessment some are still waiting from last year1 -
Thanks for the replies, had the assessment this morning, and I took your advice. Hopefully it went well, fingers crossed.0

After the DWP get the report you can request it @HeatherH84 and from that you can see how it went and if the assessor has given points (however it’s up to the DM but they generally go off the assessors recommendation. You should get a text when they get it and it’s also handy in future if you needed to do a Mandatory Reconsideration.
