Planning on buying a Power Wheelchair, but it can only go over 2.5cm kerb. Is that enough?

I am planning to buy an electric wheelchair. The one that seems to be the best for me (and seperates to go into the boot of a car) only has the ability to go over a kerb of 2.5cm (1"). This seems to be the least of all the chairs. I was wondering if this is enough? Do most places have dropped kerbs? Any advice would be appreciated.
