Fresh claim. Would anyone like to read the forms? Will additional information go against me?

Applied 11th of may. They’ve now received my forms. I tried my best to fill them in as good as I could from reading online. If any of you would like to see I can send you them?
It’s all mental health based. I was in an abusive situation for over 10 years and there’s not really any supportive evidence until December of last year when I reached out to my dr. It’s only now I’m admitting I have agoraphobia, and now ptsd. I know I’m out of the situation I was in but I spend most of my days barely existing, I can’t wait for it all to get better.
I have explained this in the extra information part. Will this go against me?
Thanks for reading

Hi there and welcome
Sorry to hear what you have been through
Pip is all about your functionality to complete the tasks as detailed on your form
The best way is to give real examples of what happened last time you tried to do task
Putting extra info at the end won't go against you
Be prepared for a long wait tho for assessment as many people who applied in Dec are still waiting
You might be lucky depends on your area
Good luck keep us updated0 -
I think this is the worst I’ve ever been. I had a total break down in December but I’m determined to get my life back.I’ve lost so much weight I’m just a constant wreck.I’m on NI so it’s a waiting game. Thanks for your response and I hope you’re having a good evening0

So I had my assessment on Wednesday and they received my report on Friday. Got a text.I was so nervous for my assessment as it was just after all the news on a capita whistle blower.I have to say I was treated so respectfully and made to feel completely comfortable and assured the entire time. I really struggle to vocalise a lot but I had a few detailed examples for each descriptor. She was very gentle and nice throughout.I’m feeling very thankful and positive. If you’re worrying about your assessment, prepare. If your form didn’t contain examples, have them ready. They need to know exactly how a condition impacts you and your daily life, in-depth. Have it all written down in front of you.So I suppose it doesn’t even really matter what’s wrong with you, it’s how it effects you?? I’m not sure.I hope everyone’s well and enjoying the break in the weather!1

Yep its not about diagnosis its about how we can or cant do descriptors ? as 2 people can have exactly the same illness yet one can do things the other cant? So thats why they don't go on whats wrong with us they go on how it affects each person? Took me ages to understand that! I genuinely thought if i got letters from doctors and specialists etc id be ok but nope! But thank God i know now! ???

Oh I forgot to add the total length of the call was 49 minutes!0

Glad the assessment went OK for you just have to wait for the decision now0

A letter from a friend, to be honest, I don’t know why I sent it in because I’m not sure it would have added much.If anything I probably went overboard with examples but I did explain it’s because I struggle to vocalise it and I fear not getting my point across.0

It’s the waiting. The waiting is making me stressed and anxious. It’s silly I know but I can’t turn it off. Hoping for an update soon0

I got my assessment report this morning and I’m very happy. I feel I was treated very fairly and managed to explain myself in the way I wanted despite anxiety.0

Just working the recommended points out. It’s looking like she recommends higher for both.1

Will this go against me?Thanks for readingI can't possibly see how exactly this will help you in anyway. Each individual persons claim will be different because we are all affected differently by our conditions, even if we have the same diagnosis. The best thing you can do is put it in your own words. There's no specific words that you should use, just tell it how it is. Giving some real life examples too if possible because this will also help. Although this should have been done when you filled out the form. Speak clearly and take your time. If you don't understand a question then ask them to repeat it.1

@poppy123456 it was merely to see like how she wrote it. Wasn’t copying. It was like when you get ideas off a fb for you own. But if you think it won’t help me fair enough!0

CV* not fb0

I didn’t do it right the first time. I didn’t give examples. I didn’t do anything on my claim I should have. I didn’t look it up. I didn’t know what to do! I just wrote how I was. So I messed up I don’t want to mess up again and be wasting time and stressing me out even more.0

I think you're reading too much into this. The worst thing anyone can do is come onto any internet forum before any assessment. There's no specific wording that should or shouldn't be used.I know it's difficult but please try to relax. Do you have something else you can do to try to take your mind off it?1

@poppy123456 yeah that’s me all over. Trying to perfect something because I always think I’m doing it wrong. I’ve written most of it out. I’ve few bits to add tomorrow. Then it’s done. It’s the best I can do. And yeah im going to watch some Cora and just chill overthinking about it before it sends me insane lol xx0
