Not confident to do a MR and have no one who can help.

Hi,

I was awarded PIP recently but only got the standard daily living component, I know that I should get more points and possibly a higher reward however I am terrable with forms and writing and I just don't feel confident writing an MR. My previous nurse did my pip forms for me and was wonderful however she left (Got promoted) and my new nurse hardly engages with me and ignored the fact that I had my pip assessment and was alone, even though my previous nurse strictly said I need someone there with me during the assessment.

I want to do an MR, but I psysically can't do it and I can't phone people up and ask for help and talk about my conditions again, I have autism and schizophrenia so talking to people I don't know is a big no no. So I guess I have no option but to just accept the original award as doing an MR isn't a option I can do.

Has anyone else felt the same and not done an MR when they should, becuase they psysically can't do writing forms?

Thanks

The MR really doesn't have to be long at all, just give a few examples of the tasks that you believe were missed initially specifically to gain extra points in those areas.

You don't have to hand-write it either.  Can type it up on your phone/tablet/laptop over a few days or weeks in small sections if that helps.

I'm the same with not being able to deal with people on telephones or get out to any 'advice' centres but did manage to write my own MR.  Realistically, very few MR's actually change the outcome though and you'd probably be looking at going to tribunal after that.
