Award length of 2y2m - is this normal?

I was under the impression that award length of PIP was more of a rounded figure, like 1 year or 2 years flat.
Any reason why PIP may have added those extra 2 months on?

My award was for 2 years 7 months...don't think it has to be a round number?0

I applied June 2020, and was assessed in October 2020.
My award is until October 2023.
I guess it depends from when you count?
From application = 3yr 4mth.
From assessment = 3yr.0 -
