Esa and payment from private pension

Hi just wondering if I withdrawe a payment say 5,000 from my private pension will it effect my esa income related and housing benefit ..thanks in advance ..

It depends on whether or not you already have any savings/capital.
The single withdrawal will be treated as capital. If your total capital remains below £6,000 it is ignored. If your total capital goes over £6,000 your ESA will reduce by £1/week for every £250, or part thereof, above £6,000. HB will also reduce.0
