Hello again to everyone...
Hope you are all OK as can be.
Haven't felt able to post here for a while but I've lurked...lol
Glad to see the familiar names still here.

Just to update, for those who remember me. My son, who has learning difficulties, epilepsy and autisim had to be sectioned in mid March due to his increasingly violent behaviour towards me.
Was expected to be home after a month but was then put on a section three, as they didn't think it would be safe enough.

It's been hard on us both, but he is due to move into supported accommodation in a week or so.
He has his own self contained ground floor flat with two carers 24/7 and also input from occupational therapy, complex needs, psychology and support workers.

It's being classified as section 17 leave (I think that's what they called it)
He has indicated many times that he doesn't want it to be anything other then temporary and his social worker has said she is happy to support him coming home in time.
But obviously I'll be wanting to have a lot of support in place for when/if that happens. He may decide he likes his own place but I'm just grateful that he'll at least be out of hospital.
Hugs to you all :)

    Hi @Cress

It's nice to see you posting

It sounds like your son is in good hands, who knows he may really thrive having his own place and it may be just what was needed

I hope to see you around on the forum :) if you feel comfortable to post of course

    Sorry to read that @janer1967
Well I hope it does at least stop any further deterioration with your sight.

    Thank you @lisathomas50
Social services have been great with sorting out the funding and arguing the case for him to have his own place as opposed to shared, I'm told it's not often you can get that.
They have said they will literally micro manage him to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible and with plenty of support and input from professionals. His two carers have spent a week training on his particular needs.

Have had a smile to myself though, I'd always felt bad about not being able to get him to bathe and change his clothes more but in all the time he's been in hospital with specialists, nurse, support workers, psychologists they were never able to persuade him to get any more then a wash in the sink...I think I was too hard on myself...lol
Anyway, hope you and your mum are well...
