Benefit advice re. Pip

I'm struggling with this situation.
My son is on a section 3 and as of Monday will be on a section 17 leave in supported accomodation, with two carers.
I knew his esa would be paid whilst in hospital, I'm his appointee.
I assumed there would have to be different arrangements made when he moved from hospital but his social worker has said that he will not be having a tenancy there as such, but this section 17 leave. So his eas would stay as it was for now. Is that the case?
His social worker has said that a budget of £120 a week would need to be paid, no problem as his esa covers that. Or does it?
She also asked me to contact pip as this had been suspended while in hospital obviously but I didn't think any pip was paid when someone was in supported accomodation.
Any advice would be great...I'm scared of doing something incorrectly.

So I rang welfare rights and they said I don't need to do anything about his esa, that will continue the same.
They said he will get PIP while in supported accomodation so just to give them a ring to get it reinstated.
That's a relief...terrified I'd do something wrong and be in trouble!0 -
Glad you got it sorted1
