Hi, Im waiting for my award decision atm. But I wondered, if my award is increased, are pip payments backdated to when I applied? This was a review, not a new clain. Thanks.

If you reported a change that resulted in the review, any increased award will be backdated to the date you notified them of the change.
If DWP initiated the review, then any increased award will be backdated to the date of the decision.
Hope this helps.0 -
Thank you, it was initiated by them, so wont be back dated much then.1

That's correct you won't get much backpay if you get a higher award and obviously if the award is less payment will reduce and if award stopped payment will end
Fingers crossed for a higher award

Hi, well I recieved money in the bank no letter yet. Looks like they backdated the award from when I submitted my review form. So Im pleased with how my claim has been handled. 28th July I had my assessment 13th August my payment.janer1967 said:That's correct you won't get much backpay if you get a higher award and obviously if the award is less payment will reduce and if award stopped payment will end
