I love afternoon teas and cream teas!
If you could take anyone for afternoon or cream tea, who would you invite and what would be your added cake/snack/drink if you could add one thing to the menu?

I don't think I'd choose anyone famous, I think I'd choose someone who has is likely to have experienced a lot of interesting things and has stories to tell - maybe a SAS soldier or a Holocaust survivor (if any are still alive) or maybe even just someone who has had to travel all over for work.
I would add champagne to make it a champagne afternoon tea.

I would invite Paul Hollywood
Would add some savoury thing's like scotch egg quiche or sausage rolls and black forest gateau1 -
I’d invite Prince William, he seems like a nice chap and the sort you could have a good old chinwag with. ?2

Oooh yummy. I would definitely enjoy all of these. A friend had a vegan sausage roll the other day and it tasted like stuffingjaner1967 said:I would invite Paul Hollywood

I've never actually had one before, so if I was, I guess I would invite Oscar wilde, as I'm reading up about him and his work lately.
I'd add coffee and Victoria sponge0 -
I would invite Cliff Richard and add a hot chocolate and a slice of Manchester tart cake.0

What a fab guest! Yes I agree, Victoria Sponge would be a great edition. To mix it up a bit when I was younger, Mum and I used to put real strawberries inside and on top of the cake with the buttercream - sometimes if we felt particularly cheeky we might spread a thin layer of jam first or we might just put these on top of the buttercreamSandy_123 said:I've never actually had one before, so if I was, I guess I would invite Oscar wilde, as I'm reading up about him and his work lately.

@Katharine_Scope. I only found out about Manchester tarts when I went for hospital appointments. Though, they have stopped selling them. But my mum made one for me a few weeks aago. It’s pastry, raspberry jam and custard. With coconut and a cherry on top.0
