Pip Paper-based review worries.

Hi all,

I'm new to the site, so hello everyone. I am currently waiting the outcome of my PIP review. I was initially told by ATOS that I would have to face a telephone assessment but a letter from my GP and getting my MP involved has resulted in it being overturned so am now waiting for a paper-based one.

I'm a born worrier so now the worry is that the assessor will take my award off me altogether.

I will turn state pension age early next year so it's important to me that they get this one right as I receive high rate mobility and standard daily living.

Does anyone have any positive feedback on paper based reviews?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Phrank.

    Hi,

My daughter's had 2 paper based reviews and i had 1. For us both there were all possitive. If the award isn't right for you and you think you're entitled to higher then you can request the MR once the decision's made.

    Hi Poppy,

Thanks for your positive reply. That's just the thing I needed to hear right now. I was over the moon when I found out it had been overturned mainly because of my GP surgery request.

Now the doubts have started to creep in. I filled in my form emphasising that nothing had really changed since my last assessment three years ago. This is endorsed by my GP letter which also tells of the difficulties i have with day-to-day tasks.

I have also included copies of GP letters from over an 11 year period to show consistency plus given details of my CPN and Clinical Psycologist plus other details.

I have tried googling stats and in particular the success rates of paper-based reviews to no avail.

This process is now in week fourteen.

I guess it's a waiting game for now.

Thanks for your reply and goof luck message.

Well,  they've helped me out in the past so if you don't ask you don't get, as they say.

What have I got to lose? Just a phone call and an email.
