Doing something I enjoy, whether that be playing a game or listening to music.

Take myself out, perhaps to the town to get out of the four square walls, walk in nature, I love the sea and find that calming, have teddies to give me a hug, some computer games that don't need much thinking, patience, hidden objects, used to do hand crafts, knitting, dress making but my hands are getting too old, however learning a new hobby like those crafts helps pass time and you have something to use and be proud about

I go for walks and go driving in my car - these help me quite a lot but I appreciate not everyone can do these things. I also like playing video games and listening to podcasts or audio books about something either funny or educational (or both!), and watching YouTube videos. I like posting on forums like this one or even just reading and not posting - something I do with a couple of other forums which I am not comfortable posting on. :)

I keep a journal which includes reflecting on the month at the end of it. I bought a specific one on Amazon and it helps with vision boards and goal setting too. Has really helped me plan, focus and reflect.

You really would find it useful to get a hobby, even if it is just putting in some headphones and going for a walk. U have to find a way to block out the dark clouds.

Seeing my grandson keeps my mental health in order. He's so funny, so cute and extremely adorable. At 17 months old his speech is amazing and the things he comes out with are just so funny. There's never a dull moment when he's around. :D

I try to switch off by watching easy to digest lifestyle sort of programmes on TV.  But even then I have the subtitles on and have to keep rewinding due to poor concentration.

    It works sometimes.

I like to do my artwork when my mood allows me, i also spend time with my wife watching tv or a movie, sometimes i sit in my star wars room, that calms me a lot just the quiet space, we  also take a drive to the local beach, and we sit and share a bag of chip shop chips looking out to sea

Work permitting I sit my garden with a cup of white tea and watch the birds on the feeders. They are so calming ?

Some of the simple things like this are the best!

I do my cross stitching, or card making, with a nice cup of coffee, or a cold drink, it takes my mind off my pain, or whatever is troubling me, and put an action  movie on, or something like Secret Life of the Zoo, as I love animals, and I have my little cat called Rosie, she sleeps between my legs on my recliner. Hobbies are brilliant for mental health, if you’re unsure about whatever you decide as a hobby you can always look into it on YouTube.

Trying to go for a walk or jog…finding a quiet moment to sit outside with a cup of tea. Meditation also really helps.
